February Fun

February often gets disliked due to it’s frigid temperatures.

But it can be quite a fun month if you know just what to do. Here are some fun February activities to keep you having fun during these cold temperatures.

1. Celebrate Valentine's Day. You can celebrate this holiday by sending cards, flowers, and chocolates to your loved ones and please do not forget about the less fortunate. What can you do to make someone that is going through a tough time smile today. Some people do not even have a warm or safe place to sleep. Even if you cannot do much right now even a bright smile and a comforting word can help warm them up more than you can imagine..

2. Have a movie night with your loved ones. Bonus if you watch romantic comedies. Rom-Coms are my absolute favorite but if they are not your cup of tea then watch something else your family and friends would enjoy. Rock, paper, scissors if there is more than one category to choose from.

3. Take a winter walk. Take a winter walk and appreciate the beauty of the snow and bare trees. Each season has it’s own unique beauty and allure. Autumn’s foliage is so beautiful. When the leaves turn into these vibrant colors and fall to the ground. However, that leads to the beautiful bare branches that hold on to snow so elegantly. We must learn to appreciate the beauty in everything. This would cause us to appreciate each season even more.

4. Enjoy a snow day. If the opportunity presents itself, enjoy a snow day by making snow angels, having a snowball fight, or building a snowman or even sledding. Do what you can with the amount of snow you have. Don’t forget that every time it snows we must have hot cocoa. It’s the snow day law. 😊

5. Host a Galentine's Day party. This is such a fun thing to do with your friends. Exchange dollar tree chocolates or make your own. Do a fun twist by hosting a Galentine secret gift exchange. Everyone should draw names and who ever they get buy a (budget-friendly ) gift for them for a fun twist on a Christmas tradition.

6. Recommit to your resolutions. Don't throw in the towel yet, start fresh this month. It’s never too late to start again. Be sure to re-evaluate your goals and if they are still something you wish to do, think of a strong why and get back up.

7. Challenge yourself. You can do a 28-day fitness challenge and focus on improving your health. A 28 day cleaning challenge, reading challenge, anything really. Challenges are super fun and can be a fun way to spice up the month.

8. Start a February bucket list. Think of fun things you want to do this month and make a bucket list. BY the end of the month it would be so cool to see how much you got done.

9. Have a game night. Invite over friends and play all of your favorite board games. You can also do this with your immediate and extended family. This is a fun way to bond on a cold winter’s day.

I hope these tips inspired you to make the most out of this lovely month. Try at least 1 tip per week to have a blast with your loved ones this February.
